Repositioning of the 85,000 SF federally landmarked Grant Building from office to hotel. Work included entitlements with the city of San Francisco and associated planning, structural seismic retrofit, historic interior and exterior restoration, and full buildout. The structural retrofit included all new foundation, structural slabs, shear walls, and elevator core. This work was executed while preserving the historic interior stair. The final product consisted of rooms as small as 85 SF, rooftop bar, gym, restaurant, etc.
